Saturday June 12th and Sunday, June 13th

Strawberry Fair Weekend, Benner’s Farm, 56 Gnarled Hollow Rd., Setauket

Come on down to Benner’s Farm for a “fun-filled and delicious celebration of one of nature’s finest treats.” The farm’s organic strawberries will be served in ways you never would have thought of. Kids can enjoy games and some time with the animals that reside at Benner’s. Hours are 12-4PM, both days. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. Massapequa Summer Festival, Massapequa LIRR Station, off Sunrise Hwy., Massapequa

The Massapequa Historical Society presents an outdoor summer arts and crafts festival. From 11AM to 6PM, both days. For directions and more information, see http://www.showtiques.com/.

16th Annual Kennedy Plaza Fine Arts Show, Kennedy Plaza, Long Beach

Enjoy two full days of fine art exhibits, including photographs, paintings, sculptures, and more. Entertainment will be provided, courtesy of the Long Beach Library. Hours are 10AM-6PM, both days. Medieval Faire, Our Lady of Grace Church, 666 Albin Ave., West Babylon

Travel back in time to the days of knights and fair maidens, jousting tournaments and royalty. Medieval Scenarios and Recreations, Inc. presents this two-day medieval festival with all sorts of uniquely fun entertainment, including a medieval fashion show, games, crafts and more. Long Island Bavarian Festival, 1132 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square

Celebrate the joys of the traditional Bavarian culture with great German beer and food, Bavarian folk dancing, games of chance and skill, and fun stuff for children, as well. Open Saturday from 2PM and on Sunday from 12-10PM. Admission is $8 for adults and $7 for seniors. Children under 12 get in for free. There will be rides for the kids on Sunday. Adoption Day at Hampton Coffee Company, 869 Montauk Hwy., Watermill

Though not a traditional festival like the others on this list, the Last Chance Animal Rescue’s Adoption Day is a wonderful event held to help find loving homes for many of the homeless pups who live at the shelter. Enjoy some gourmet coffee and muffins while making new friends and learning more about Last Chance. 11AM-3PM. Take a look at Last Chance Animal Rescue’s website here.
