Hunter’s Day of Hope and Prayer for Children – Saturday, February 15th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Buffalo Bills Healthy Zone Fieldhouse in Orchard Park. Polar Bites – Thursday, February 20th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on Franklin St. in downtown Buffalo. The annual fundraiser for the Buffalo Zoo showcases some of the area’s top restaurants, wineries and breweries. Tickets include unlimited samples of local food, wine and beer as well as access to specialty vendors; there will also be raffle, basket and silent auction opportunities and visits from the Zoo’s animal ambassadors. Tickets for this 21-and-over event are $35 in advance and $45 at the door; a limited number of VIP passes may still be available for $60 each. Find out more at buffalozoo.org.
WNY Home and Garden Show – Thursday through Sunday, February 20th through 23rd at the Hamburg Fairgrounds Events Center and Expo Building. Get ideas for upcoming home and garden projects, visit with vendors and companies and visit the Wine and Food Garden. Hours are Thursday and Friday from 2 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; admission is $7 for adults and free for children under 10.
