Lucille Ball Comedy Festival – Wednesday through Sunday, August 6th through 10th at venues throughout Jamestown. The 2014 festival will feature 25 performers, including headliners like Jay Leno (August 9th – sold out), Tom Cotter (August 8th) and Caroline Rhea (August 7th), as well as three nights of Late-Night comedy. All Wright All Day Trolley Tour – Friday, August 8th, with the trolley leaving from Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1411 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. On the tour, visit the Martin House Complex, Filling Station at the Pierce Arrow Museum, the Fontana Boathouse, Graycliff Estate and the Blue Sky Mausoleum at Forest Lawn; also included is a catered lunch at the Boathouse. Cost is $125 for the general public, $115 for members of the Martin House or Graycliff; trolley leaves Forest Lawn promptly at 8:30 a.m. Find out more about the tour at www.darwinmartinhouse.org.
Buffalo Brew Fest – Friday, August 8th on Illinois Ave. in the historic Cobblestone District in downtown Buffalo – gates open at 5:30 p.m. The event features more than 50 craft brews plus delicious food. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the event – proceeds benefit Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center. Find out more at the event’s website.
