Teddy Bear Picnic – Thursday, August 14th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, 180 Thompson St. in North Tonawanda. Bring your favorite stuffed friend for an afternoon of games, crafts, stories and refreshments, plus a 1 p.m. performance of “The Three Little Pigs” by Omnipresent Puppet Theater. Salamanca Rockin' Ribfest – Friday through Sunday, August 15th through 17th at Veterans Memorial Park, located on Broad St. in Salamanca. The third annual festival features professional barbeque competition teams, a car show, live music, a parade and more. Taste of Ellicottville – Saturday and Sunday, August 16th and 17th from noon to 4 p.m. both days throughout the village of Ellicottville. Top restaurants will set up “café style” on the streets. Tickets are $1 each and food items are between $1 and $4 – find out more at www.ellicottvilleny.com.

Taste of Lockport – Sunday, August 17th from noon to 6 p.m. at Ida Fritz Park in Lockport. Featuring more than a dozen restaurants and wineries plus live music and entertainment. Find out more at www.thetasteoflockport.com.
