More details on PS4 controller revealed, touchpad will be multi-touch functional (Photos)

As reported in our previous article, we have finally caught a glimpse at the redesigned controller that will be featured alongside the PS4. Upon the initial reveal of the photos of this redesigned controller, there were no specific information given on some of the new features found on this device. Thankfully, we discovered information on VgLeaks that provides us further information on the details involved with the redesigned controller for the PS4.

Alongside some of the traditional buttons found on PlayStation controllers, it is stated that the new share button will be reserved for the system and cannot be accessed by an application. Additionally, it has also been revealed that the touchpad on this new controller will have the ability to click. Speaking of the touchpad, this device will feature a two-point multi-touch technology.

This new controller will also feature the motion control functionality that is found in current PS3 controllers. The lightbar that is found on top of this controller has been described as a RGB LED and will also be reserved for the system and cannot be accessed by an application.
