Adam, Brooke, Joe, Ruth – and Kendall? are on their way back for on-screen appearances. And Amanda and Angie are on their way out!
ABC’s All My Children confirms that David Canary (Adam), Julia Barr (Brooke), original cast member Ray MacDonnell (Joe) and Lee Meriwether (Ruth) are all coming back to Pine Valley. Canary and Barr are said to be filming a week’s worth of episodes in August, and each of the vets will appear in September.

TV Guide also hints that Sarah Michelle Gellar, who originated the role of Kendall Hart, has agreed to return to the show for a cameo before it leaves daytime. Since Susan Lucci (Erica) is NOT a fan, and Alicia Minshew (Kendall) has OWNED that role since 2002, I am curious as to how that’s going to play out.
Unconfirmed reports still speculate that Lucci will move to Desperate Housewives’ Wisteria Lane this fall (which may also be on the skids at the end of the coming season), although new reports have her involved in the proposed new online version of AMC. Could she do both?

And Debbi Morgan (Angie) is either squeamish of the new online venture, or not interested in negotiations, as she’s inked a deal to join the cast of Y&R at the end of AMC’s network run. Chrishell Stause (Amanda) tweeted that she was leaving (before the show’s end?), but has since deleted her comment.
