The light snow from earlier this morning has finally tapered off to flurries. Conditions will continue to improve through the afternoon. Most locations will probably see a little sunshine. Highs today will reach the upper 20s.
Tonight, high pressure will briefly build over the area giving us mostly cloudy skies but dry weather conditions. Lows tonight will be in the teens.
On Thursday, a weak low pressure system over the upper Mid West will move eastward into the Great Lakes while strengthening. At the same time, low pressure will track from the southern Plains States into the Tennessee Valley. Clouds will increase across northeastern Ohio with the chance of a few rain or snow showers Thursday afternoon. Highs on Thursday will climb to the mid 30s.
Thursday night, both systems will move to our east where they will phase and deepen rapidly. Colder air will be pulled southward across our area changing any lingering rain showers over to snow showers during the evening. Snow showers will then continue overnight. Some accumulations are possible. Lows will fall back into the mid to upper 20s.
Snow showers are likely through the first half of the day on Friday, then they will gradually diminish through Friday afternoon. Highs on Friday will reach the low 30s.
High pressure will build back across the region for the beginning of the weekend with partly cloudy skies expected on Saturday. High temperatures on Saturday will be in the low to mid 30s.
