Over the past several months, Gearbox Software has release three separate monthly DLC packs for Borderlands 2 which introduce new bosses and character customization options. Gearbox Software President Randy Pitchford revealed to fans via Twitter on Dec 20 that there will likely be more of these Headhunter add-on packs still to come.

Despite the fact that Borderlands 2 was originally released over a year ago, the loot-based shooter celebrated its one year anniversary back in Sept, the developer continues to regularly support the title with new content. After Pitchford’s most recent statement, it now appears that fans can look forward to even more DLC additions in the future.

Borderlands 2 is out now on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC/Mac. As part of the game’s Season Pass offering, Gearbox Software has since released four story-based campaign DLC packs. Offered outside of the Season Pass, fans were also given the option to purchase two new character class add-ons which introduced new playable vault hunters. As if that weren’t enough, there have been two DLC releases which raised the game’s level-cap and added new difficulty level and, most recently, players were given more content thanks to the Headhunter packs. Gamers are also regularly awarded with free loot as the developer regularly hands out SHiFT codes which can be redeemed for in-game equipment.
