More artists announced for '46th Annual CMA Awards'

The "46th Annual CMA Awards" will be held on Nov. 1, and broadcast live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on the ABC Television Network (8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m./ET and delayed PT). The CMA announced today that Eli Young Band, Brantley Gilbert, Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton are the latest artists slated to perform on country music's premiere awards show.

The CMA Awards will be hosted for the fifth time by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Previously announced performers include Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Paisley, The Band Perry, Underwood, and Zac Brown Band.

The Eli Young Band is new to the Vocal Group category this year. But, that isn't the only "first" associated with the group. Will Hoge and Eric Paslay received their first CMA nomination for Song of the Year, for "Even If It Breaks Your Heart," which was recorded by Eli Young Band.

Brantley Gilbert has his own first nomination this year, as he is included in the New Artist of the Year category. He will also make his first CMA Awards performance this year.

Lady Antebellum has held the CMA Group of the Year title for the past three consecutive years, and is once more nominated in that category. They also are nominated for Album of the Year for "Own the Night," which they also had a hand in producing, along with Paul Worley, making them eligible to receive a second trophy, should the album win.

Blake Shelton has four CMA nominations this year, including Song of the Year, for "Over You," which he penned with wife Miranda Lambert. He also is nominated for Entertainer of the Year; Male Vocalist of the Year; and Single of the Year for "God Gave Me You."
