Another blast of arctic air will invade the U.S. as we end February and begin the month of March. We observed a few days with above normal temperatures and now we’re back to the deep freeze. We’ll see some sunshine this weekend with temperatures in the 20s, but when you factor in a stiff breeze the wind chill readings dip into single numbers and teens.
The real story is another round of bitter arctic air that’s set to invade for the end of February and early March. Low temperatures will likely dip below zero once again with highs only teens. The Climate Prediction Center outlook keeps the below average temperatures around into the first part of March.
