Moose outlast Stars 3-1

The Manitoba Moose scored the winning goal halfway through the 3rd period and finish with an empty-netter to get a 3-1 road win against the Texas Stars Tuesday night at the Cedar Park Center.  Manitoba goalie Eddie Lack held off an onslaught in the final frame stopping all 19 Stars shots for the win.

The Moose got on the board first on a power play goal at 12:14 of the first period by right wing Victor Oreskovich.  Texas forward Greg Rallo tied the game with only 31 seconds left in the period to go into the first break knotted at 1.  Texas was outshot 17-8 in the second period but Stars goalie Tyler Beskorowany turned away all 17 keeping the score 1-1 at the end of 2.  Manitoba went out in front for good on a goal by center Marco Rosa at 7:57 in the third period.  An empty net goal by center Mario Bliznak with 8 seconds remaining provided the final score of 3-1.

The Stars travel to San Antonio to take on the Rampage this Friday and will be back at the Cedar Park Center on Saturday to face the Hamilton Bulldogs.
