Saturday December 14th will be almost a full moon. What better time to explore the mountain by moonlight. Put on your ski pants, don your down parka, slip your feet into some wool socks and thick soled boots and plan to join the rest of the hikers for a Moonlight Hike and Campfire at Sipapu.
The walk will begin at the base area and proceed to mid-mountain where you can relax and enjoy hot cocoa around a blazing campfire. Can you imagine a better family activity or get-together with your friends?
Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort is known for its terrific family bargains and this is just one of the many activities that you can enjoy this winter. Technically it's still fall, but the Winter Solstice follows in just a few days.
Check out the Sipapu website for a long list of exciting special programs and prices that you can't afford to miss. Everything from free skiing to free lodging. You may want to make Sipapu a regular part of your winter fun program this year since it's only about a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive from Albuquerque.
Enjoy the Moonlight Hike and . . . Keep on Traveling!
