Russian trance DJ duo and brothers Pavel & Vitaly Khvaleev aka Moonbeam announced late yesterday the release date of their next album "The Random." "The Random" will be released on February 22 on Moonbeam Digital / Black Hole Recordings and will be not only the duo's fourth artist album but also their first original soundtrack.
The two CD album features the 12-track original film score for Pavel Khaleev's directorial debut as well as 10 club mixes of select tracks. In addition to the talents of Moonbeam, the album features a number of singer-songwriters; including Avis Vox, Leusin, Aelyn, Blackfeel Wite, Matvey Emerson and others.
Moonbeam is not new to the burgeoning EDM scene in Russia but they are among the first to achieve international success. With a decade of experience under their collective belts, Pavel and Vitaly Khaleev recently completed their 200th studio production. The last single "You Win Me" had the honor of being the 500th release from the award-winning Black Hole Recordings label.
"The Random" is arguably the first ever original soundtrack scored by a trance act. "Scoring a film is something many producers dream of doing, but few get the chance," said Vitaly Khaleev. "When Pavel got the go ahead for his film, we both knew that this is an opportunity for Moonbeam too good to miss.”
