Moody Gardens will host the 27th Annual Mardi Gras Ball for Special People on Sunday, February 10, from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Moody Gardens Convention Center Expo. The event is free for people with special needs and their immediate family members. The ball is a chance for people with disabilities to safely enjoy the spirit and fun of Mardi Gras. The theme for this year’s party is ‘We’re Feeling Artsy.’
The ball includes food, live music, beads, pictures, face painting, costume and dance contests, and arts and crafts. To be part of the ball, RSVPs must be made by February 8 through the website at Eventbrite, http://specialpeoplesball.eventbrite.com/#.
