Monty Python and the Holy Grail returns to The El Rey Theatre this week

There was originally no movie scheduled this week at The El Rey Theatre. But due to some last minute changes, there is one. And it’s a good one. The always funny Monty Python gang is heading back to the big screen this week in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.”

The film will play on Tuesday, November 15, at 9:00p.m. when tickets and concession items are just two dollars. It will play on Thursday, November 17, at 9:00p.m. when tickets and concession items are just three dollars. After that, tickets are just five dollars for adults and four dollars for kids. “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” also plays on Friday, November 18, at 9:00p.m.

The doors will open 30 minutes prior to showtimes. All those who plan on attending must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by an adult.

As always, there will be beer, wine, pizza, nachos, candy, popcorn and soda available at the concession stand.

King Arthur and his knights set out on a journey to find the Holy Grail. On the way, they encounter many strange and silly things. Some include knights who say “Ni,” a cute but killer bunny rabbit and a black knight who thinks losing an arm is “just a flesh wound.” There are plenty of laughs to be had in this film.

Be sure to check out “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” this week only at The El Rey Theatre, located on West 2nd Street in downtown Chico.
