Montreal winter nightlife guide - Montreal All-Nighter

On Saturday, February 27th, 2010, there is no excuse not to stay up all night. The 7th edition of the Montreal All-Nighter, part of the Montreal Highlights Festival, will lift the spirits of every urban dweller itching to see the city come alive as we anticipate the coming of spring.

With over 170 (mostly free) activities to choose from, you can begin the night at 12:00am and see the light of day at 5:00am. The festival will take over Old Montreal and the Quays of the Old Port, the Quartier des spectacles and the downtown core, the Plateau Mont-Royal and Mile-End, and the Pole Maisonneuve. Among other possibilities, dance the night away in the Hydro-Quebec Dome while enjoying Les soirées électro, enjoy all-night access to over 10,000 films at the CineRobotheque or visit the much anticipated Art Souterrain, a variety of contemporary art installations representative of Montreal’s Underground City, which will be displayed between Place des Arts and Complexe les Ailes.

Transportation will be a cinch too. The subway system will be running all night long and shuttle services will be available for party-goers to hop from one activity to the next.
