Winter has never stopped Montreal from being the lively, bustling city it has always been. Here are some of the many things to do in Montreal this winter:
The Montreal High Lights Festival: From Feb 18-28, don't miss this urban winter festival. The lights festival attracts 750,000 every year making it the largest winter festival in the world. The festival offers a unique program which combines performing arts, gastronomy, free outdoor family activities, and two major events: the infamous Nuit blanche de Montreal where the city will remain alive through the night with endless activities and a spectacular urban happening that illuminates the Quays of Old Montreal.
Mont Royal: There are so many things to do on this glorious mountain. Nothing will feel better than cross country skiing in the heart of bustling Montreal. You will find great trails at Mont Royal. You can also enjoy a great evening of snowshoeing every Saturday night. Follow a guide through the trails and discover the forest by night. This Saturday the 13th enjoy a special Valentine experience as you snowshoe with your loved one on the mountain. ($20 includes snowshoe rental, animation, mulled wine and chocolate). Also in Mont Royal, you could skate on the refrigerated rink located next to Beaver lake and enjoy tubing with the kids.
