Montreal is known as a city of year round festivals. This year the 14th edition of the Montréal en lumière festival, a popular and much anticipated event, will be held on February 21st - March 3rd..
This annual winter time celebration features performing arts, gastronomy, outdoor family activities and multimedia shows.
Gastronomy Events
This year the showcase city is Buenos Aires. The festival welcomes Francis Mallmann, honorary president for this 14th edition and 20 guest chefs who will demonstrate their culinary talents as well as guest wine makers. Some of these chefs have been trained by Francis Mallmann, well known for his Argentinean cuisine.
Philadelphia
This year the special American guest city is Philadelphia. The seven guest chefs are supporters of local producers and will demonstrate their unique culinary talents.
Local cuisine
The featured Quebec region is Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. At the Jean-Talon market, twelve producers and processors from this region will be exhibiting their products as part of the Jean-Talon market series, and ten chefs will be offering free culinary workshops as part of the at the Jean-Talon market showcases series on February 23rd and 24th.

Quebec produces a variety of some of Canada's best cheeses. Cheese lovers will have the opportunity to sample Quebec cheeses, a large selection of wines and beers as well have the opportunity to meet Quebec master cheese makers and wine producers.
