For some that live around the Arkansas area, finding a competitive scene for fighting games, or even gaming in general, can be hard to do.
To those that seek to do so, The Arkansas Fighting Game Network would like to present their next upcoming event, MAG II, or the Monthly Arkansas Gameathlon II.
The Monthly Arkansas Gameathlon, formerly known as the Saturday Night Smackdown, is a monthly community-building tournament co-hosted by the Conway Gaming Center and the Arkansas Fighting Game Network.
Being held at the Conway Gaming Center on July 23rd, 2011, various games can be played, and the selection of said games is certainly a diverse one, spanning the more well-known and mainstream games such as Super Street Fighter IV and the Super Smash Bros games, to less popular (but just as well-played in some cases) games such as BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II and Mortal Kombat. Even fans of first person shooters won't be left out, as gams such as Gears of War, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Halo: Reach will be present as well.

Cost: Spectating is free. There'll be a $5 entrance fee for tournaments, plus an extra $5 towards the pot for each tournament you enter. Included with your entry fee is one plate of free food.
Prizes: The pot for each tournament will be split 70/20/10.

- Set-up and registration will take place from noon to 1:30 PM.
- 2:00 PM - Call of Duty: Black Ops, Mortal Kombat 9, Super Smash Bros: Brawl
- 4:00 PM - Gears of War 2, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros: Melee
- 6:00 PM - Halo: Reach, Super Street Fighter IV, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II
