Guatemala is well known for it's fine rums and Montecristo's top shelf offering is no exception. With a blend of 12 to 23 year old rums, it presents a richly satisfying, well balanced luxury sipping rum which also enhances first-class cocktails prepared with the finest ingredients.
This medium bodied spirit of light amber color exhibits mild aromas of toffee, vanila, sweet molasses, cola and spice. The initial taste reveals a sweetness that leads to a warm blossom of brown spices and honey syrup. The finish is long, warm, sweet and rich, revealing a complexity of fine blending.
Tim Haughinberry debuted his line of Montecristo rums in Las Vegas in February, 2002 after searching the world for a fine source of premium rum. Since that time, the brand has received a tremendous amount of publicity in national and international media outlets.
Montecristo also produces a Premium Blend white rum and a superb spiced rum.
