Anyone who has experience with cats knows that each has its own personality. Monte, currently available for adoption through R-CATS, always has to be with the action.
Robin Yager of R-CATS knows Monte well, and says of him, "He's a very vocal cat who could best be described as the self-appointed 'Inspector' of the group. If you're doing something Monte is right at your elbow inspecting every aspect of the job. He gets along well with other cats and is up to date with his vaccinations. He'd make a great addition to almost any home that appreciates a vocal 'helpful' cat assistant."
The Rome-based rescue group guesses that Monte had a home before coming to them, and has not spent his entire life outside. He is very affectionate and they estimate his age at 2-3 years. Yager also describes him as smart, as he leaned his new name quickly and, "he also knows several key phrases like 'wait until I'm done scooping' and 'that's someone else's dinner, you've had enough'. " In addition to being up to date with vaccinations and socialized, Monte is also already neutered.
