Montclair State University defeats William Paterson University
Montclair State University defeated William Paterson University in women's college basketball, 75-62.
Montclair has a strong half-court offense with the skill sets of Janitza Aquino, Shalette Brown, Melissa Tobie, Nicosia Henry, and Taylor Jeffers. Janitza Aquino is a great scorer, putting up 20 points. Shalette Brown attacked the basket well and ended with 19 points. Melissa Tobie can both drive in and is consistent from three-point line. She finished with 17 points.
At the half time they led 41-32.
William Paterson utilizes great back door passes to penetrate the defense. Floriana Borova is a phenomenal passer and strong shooter. She ended with 24 points. Shakira Negron came off the bench to contribute strong defense.
