Earlier today, Idea Factory International announced that its first PlayStation Vita title, the card battle game “Monster Monpiece”, will be making its way to North American and European markets via the PSN later this year.

“Monster Monpiece” takes place in the world of Yafaniel, where humans and “monster girls” coexist. The story follows the journey of May Esperio, a student learning to become a “master” of monster girls alongside her best friends Elza and Karen. When Elza is stricken with a strange affliction she begins stealing the Magus Quartzes in each of Yafaniel’s major cities and May embarks on a journey to cure her friend, but if she fails to save Elza, the whole world may be destroyed.

Gamers can look for “Monster Monpiece” to be available on the PlayStation Vita via the PSN with the original Japanese voiceover and English subtitles in the spring of 2014. Screenshots from the game can be found in the slideshow on the left and you can learn more about “Monster Monpiece” and its unique gameplay by visiting the game’s official site.

It should also be noted that although the gameplay, game system and storyline are fully intact, Idea Factory International has made the decision to remove several Monster Girl images from the North American and European versions of the game due to the strong sexual nature of the card images. These Monster Girls’ images have been limited to their level 1,2, or 3 evolution forms, Vampire, Kraken, Goblin, Cockatrice, Kobold, Skeleton, Titania, Bahamut, Fia, Brownie, Pegasus, Mandragora, Mau Sibau, Rifflesia, Death Scorpion, Phantom and Tengu.
