Monster trucks will be roaring into Chase Field in Phoenix Arizona on Saturday, January 28, 2012. This popular, annual event draws more than 50,000 fans of all ages to witness the mayhem and destruction of the massive trucks.
The ultimate metal crushing competition is sponsored by Advance Auto Parts. Spectators will be entertained by an impressive lineup of monster trucks. Monster Jam will also be introducing two 10,000 pound newcomers .
The Monster Jam 2012 marks the 30 year anniversary of the legendary Grave Digger. Always a fan favorite, the Grave Digger will be performing aerial marvels and churning dust as it goes head to head with the following competitors:

The exciting competition is intense and the crowds scream wildly as the sounds of revving engines fill Chase Field. The Free Style maneuvers are impressive and some competitors typically lose a wheel or break an axle.

Plan on arriving early and enjoy the Pit Party, festivities begin at 2:30 pm. Photographers gravitate to Monster Jam events and the Pit is the perfect place for those amazing photographs. This event is filled with many photo opportunities but when striving for that perfect action shot remember the trucks move quickly. Study the panning approach or focus on a particular spot on the ground and take the photo when the truck enters that spot you chose. Another thing to keep in mind is camera settings, allow for a fast shutter speed and open aperture.
