Monster Jam hits the Kansas City Sprint Center, February 10, 11, 12, 2012

THEY’LL SELL YOU THE WHOLE SEAT, BUT YOU’LL ONLY NEED THE EDGE!!!!

That’s right—Monster Jam returns to Kansas City this weekend.  You can get your fill of car-crushing, hill-jumping, carbon monoxide-infused mayhem in the center of downtown Kansas City at the Sprint Center February 10-12, 2012.

Thanks in part to daily broadcasts on the SPEED channel, as well as a very popular line of Hot Wheels trucks, Monster Jam is practically a household name.  Motorsports fans appreciate these events because the very thought of getting these huge vehicles to perform some of these stunts is almost mind-bending.  But don’t underestimate the appeal of Monster Jam to kids—they really get into it.

This year, like every year, Grave Digger will be the featured truck.  It is the most popular and well-known vehicle on the Monster Jam circuit, so there usually seems to be a Grave Digger at every show.  Other trucks scheduled to appear include Monster Mutt, El Toro Loco, Advance Auto Parts Grinder, Raminator, Rammunition, Bad Habit, and Incinerator.

Show times will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.  There will also be a 10:30 “pit party” before the Friday and Saturday matinee performances, where people can see the trucks up close and get autographs from the drivers.

Tickets range from $15.00 to $45.00 for adults, and discount coupons can be picked up at participating Advance Auto Parts locations.   Pit passes are available at area Price Chopper grocery stores.

If you like to watch state-of-the art, custom-built racing vehicles to things that seem to defy the laws of physics, be sure to fit a Monster Jam performance into your weekend schedule.
