Monster Hunter Tri demo available free at GameStop March 8th

Capcom has announced that a free demo for the Wii title Monster Hunter Tri will be available to gamers on March 8th from GameStop locations for free. Some GameStop locations around the area have been releasing the demo prior to the March 8th date, and reports are that some stores are requiring a preorder of the retail version of the game, which ships April 20th. Preorders should absolutely not be required, according to Capcom themselves.

Capcom however does want folks to know that aside from receiving a $5 credit on the game if you do preorder, you'll also receive a free 500 Nintendo Points card.

So if your local GameStop location is telling you that a preorder is required for your free demo, ask to speak with the manager and direct them to Capcom's website.
