Originally announced in September 2011 during the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom has remained tight-lipped on “Monster Hunter 4” since its initial debut, however all that has now changed.

Early Saturday morning, Capcom announced that “Monster Hunter 4” would see release in early 2013 in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS – no release date for North America or Europe was announced at this time.

In December 2011, Capcom released “Monster Hunter 3G” in Japan on the Nintendo 3DS which, to date, has achieved sales of over 1.4million copies, eclipsing Capcom’s sale expectations. Despite pleas from fans worldwide, Capcom has yet to announce plans to bring “Monster Hunter 3G” to regions outside of Japan.

With “Monster Hunter 4” now given a Japanese release date, let's hope the title sees release in North America and Europe during the Spring/Summer months of 2013. You can find the official “Monster Hunter 4” logo in our media gallery located here.
