'Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate' demo lands on Wii U and 3DS with 30 cent 'F-Zero' (Photos)

Nintendo updated the Wii U and 3DS eShops on Thursday with the much anticipated demo for "Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate" along with a demo for the already released "Trine: Director's Cut" and Super NES racing classic, "F-Zero".

"Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate" for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS is an upgraded and expanded version of "Monster Hunter Tri" which was released on the Wii. It features all new monsters, quests and weapons along with HD graphics and more than 200 quests to take on.

The "Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate" is approximately a 889 MB download on the Wii U so plan your demo time accordingly.

The free single player demo will feature two full quests, one for beginner players and another for intermediate hunters, in addition to 12 different weapon options for players to choose for their battle. Players will have to brave the elements of the frozen tundra against the fierce Lagombi and take the fight against the aquatic Plesioth on land AND into the water!

Also appearing on the Wii U eShop is "F-Zero" from the Super NES at the low price of only 30 cents for a limited time. The game features four proton-powered hover cars to race across 15 courses filled with challenges and pitfalls. Find shortcuts, elude hazards and snag power-ups if you want to beat the competition.
