There are some new ghouls in town and they are freaky and fabulous! Monster High’s new line called Freaky Fusion is based on the new movie of the same name coming out in September. The collection includes freaky-fun fused characters and hybrid characters such as: Lagoonafire (a mix of Lagoona Blue and Jinafire Long), Dracubecca (a fusion of Draculaura and Robecca Steam), Cleolei (a combination of Cleo de Nile and Toralei), Clawvenus (a blend of Clawdeen Wolf and Venus McFlytrap), Neighthan Rot (a unicorn-zombie boy), Sirena von Boo (part Ghost and part Mermaid), Bonita Femur (part Skeleton and part Moth), and Avea Trotter (part Harpy and part Centaur). Read below on how you can one a Freaky Fusion doll!
Wondering how our favorite popular ghouls got fused together? Here’s a brief synopsis. While attempting to help Frankie Stein learn more about her scaritage, the fashionably fierce ghoulfriends travel back in time to the first day ever at Monster High. There, they meet Sparky, who has an obsession for creating life. But when Sparky follows the ghouls through a killer time portal to modern-day Monster High the event results in eight of them fusing together into four creeperiffic hybrid Monsters. Now, they'll really have to work together to control their bodies in the big Bitecentennial Play and stop one of Sparky's experiments from destroying imperfectly perfect Monster High.
My daughter was super excited to receive Cleolei for review. Cleo is one of her favorite ghouls and she’s wanted Toralei, so a doll that was a mix of both was the purrfect choice. I just love how stylish these dolls are! They all have to-die-for accessories and outfits especially the shoes. Cleolei wears a yellow cat suit with hieroglyphic-inspired print and blue trim, an amazing shimmery blue jacket, black wedge sandals, cat-adorned belt around her waist, golden bag and Toralei’s signature one-fingered glove complete the killer look. Cleolei also has a cat tail, cat ears, cat-shaped eyes and a strip of orange striped hair.
Some of the other really cool ones include Clawvenus (Clawdeen fused with Venus McFlytrap), Sirena von Boo and Avea Trotter. Clawdeen is fiercely fashionable with her purple and green hair, purple and pink makeup, clawesome dress with purple animal print bodice, black skirt with scary cool plant print, a wide golden belt with plunky details, and black peep-toe booties with purple chains are fangtastic. Sirena von Boo is part ghost and part mermaid and she is hauntingly boo-tiful in a shimmery one-shoulder top with black accents dripping from the neck and hem. Her silvery tail makes waves with a “chain” overlay and gore-geous black fin. A spooktacular belt provides a link for her two scaritages As part Harpy and part Centaur, Avea Trotter is quite freaky looking yet cool at the same time. She wears a fire red satiny fitted jacket with collar that complements her creepy cool wings, a blue shirt with ruffled collar peeks out from below, while a black belt also doubles as part of the bridle and reins that decorate her lower centaur half. Avea’s horse body is decorated with white Skullette™ images for a spooktacular touch.
I’ve enjoyed watching the Monster High films with my daughter, so we can’t wait for the new movie!
