A Monroe High School student was hit by three vehicles and killed Tuesday morning in Walton County while attempting to retrieve his skateboard.
Hours later, state troopers were still searching for two of the drivers.
Fifteen-year-old Jacob Little was struck around 6: 40 a.m. at 1245 North Broad St. near Double Springs Church Road, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
He was riding his skateboard when he lost control and went to retrieve it, GSP’s spokesman Mr. Gordy Wright said.
“While retrieving the skateboard, he was hit by the initial vehicle and then struck by two other vehicles,” Mr. Wright said. “Two of the vehicles have not been located at this time.”
Troopers believe the Jacob was hit first by a silver Honda, then a Ford Ranger, and then by a tan Tahoe.
The Honda and the Tahoe left the scene. The Honda may possibly have damage to the front end, they said.
Anyone with information about the hit-and-run drivers is asked to call either the Walton County Sheriff's Office or the Georgia State Patrol in Monroe.
