Monopoly is one of the few classic board games that have lasted through the ages of time for fun and family entertainment. The Hasbro Company has just announced plans on Jan. 13 through their Monopoly Facebook page that they are planning to replace one of the classic iconic game pieces.
Fans of the game are being asked to vote until Feb. 5 to save their favorite game piece. The original game included: a battleship, top hat, boot, thimble, Scottie dog, wheelbarrow, race car and an iron. Hasbro is not making the decision to replace one of the game pieces. They are going to rely on the public’s participation as to which game piece will be put to rest for all eternity.
The new game pieces that they have in mind to use are: a robot, helicopter, guitar, diamond ring and a cat. No one knows which one of these new silver game icons will be the replacement piece. The new game when it is released will reveal the company’s final decision.
