Everybody has an opinion on who will win the Super Bowl, including the saki monkeys at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas.
It's great that these monkeys are making football predictions, it's even better they are using iPads to make their picks.
The saki monkey using iPads is nothing new at Moody Gardens, they use them regularly as part of an enrichment and research program.
If you have never been to Moody Gardens, it's quite a spectacle. Attractions like the Rainforest Pyramid should not be missed.
From a press release from Moody Gardens:
The Rainforest Pyramid is a 10-story glass structure that is home to more than 1,000 species of plants and animals. After a $25 million enhancement in 2011, visitors are able to experience more rainforest life from around the world, including Africa, Asia and the Americas. Many of the animals within the pyramid are free-roaming, like the saki monkeys and cotton-top tamarins.
Along with the Rainforest Pyramid, visitors can also visit the Aquarium Pyramid®, MG 3D Theater, 4D Special FX Theater, Ridefilm, Discovery Museum, Colonel Paddlewheel Boat, our four-diamond hotel and highly-rated public golf course at one of the top tourist destinations in Texas.
Getting back to the monkeys and their Super Bowl prediction. All three saki monkeys all say San Francisco will defeat Baltimore in Sunday's game. Two of the monkeys selected made their selections by painting on the 49ers logo. The third showed his feelings on the game by placing unhappy faces on the Ravens logo.
What this all means, I don't know. We'll find out if the monkeys are correct late Sunday night. We also now know that humans and monkeys all love the iPad. I wonder if the monkeys need the new 128 GB version.
That's some real monkey business.
