Some of my local favorites continue to perform there and although I noticed a mark difference in the food and atmosphere from the last time I reviewed them when they first opened, they are increasing busy, which is always good right?
There was a massive celebration going on with a large Ohana the night I reviewed this restaurant, so it was party down with the family and friends. A great time was being had by all and they were dancing and singing along. Tom Cherry and Mike F can always come up with a Happy Birthday rendition. At the end of the set Mike F.
invited me over to Beach Bums and his own gig on Monday for happy hour at Stella Blues. He is a sweetheart and a wonderful Bass play and vocalist as well. You want to check him out.
I invited a dear friend and possible apprentice to help with the ever increasing reviews. We enjoyed out meals, overate (the only draw back to my job) and really had a great time.
I am always impressed by the servers at this establishment. A great example of going the extra mile.
It was fun to revisit Monkey Pod Kitchen. I was back looking around towards the kitchen and the food line, and as busy as they were, they made time to entertain my questions and curiosity, something every great writer needs.
Do not hesitate to book a reservation and eat at Monkey Pod Kitchen on Maui.
