As a fitness professional and coach, please tell us about your practice and explain your purpose.
My fitness professional business is constantly evolving. I started my fitness career 20+ years ago as a group exercise instructor, at that time only being certified in one format. From there, I became a Level 2 Spin Instructor, Group Exercise Director at a local gym for 5 years, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Area Promotions Director and Presenter for Powder Blue Productions and now I own my own personal training business, Do It Together Fitness, Stronger Bodies, Stronger Bond, which is a personal training company geared towards couples.
How does life coaching relate to your fitness business?
I have been given a gift and my gift is the ability to motivate and inspire others. I love to make exercise fun! I love to make people laugh while their working out—this strategy is designed to help my clients to meet the challenge of a hard core exercise routine without realizing it. As a fitness coach, I witness this transformational process with each client and acknowledge them for their accomplishment. It’s a win, win!
Describe your passion?
I truly believe that when one starts on the journey of fitness and health, they must “get it and do it” and in return, find someone else and help them start on their journey. I believe it's sinful to have knowledge of something that will help and inspire others and not share that information. I encourage my clients to share new and exciting exercise routines and healthy eating recipes with their friends and family to create a community of wellness. In the end, that’s what health and fitness is all about.
What's your motto?
My company's motto is "Stronger Bodies, Stronger Bond. I believe if couples food shop together, plan meals together and eat together, then the natural progress is that they will work out together to keep each other accountable.
