Monica McCarrick arraigned: Fairfield mom faces twins murder & pleads not guilty

Monica McCarrick, the Fairfield mother that made headlines for allegedly murdering her twin toddlers with a 2-foot sword and then setting their apartment on fire was escorted by wheelchair into the Solano County Superior Court last week.

Having been released from the John Muir Medical Center following self inflicted wounds from the apparent murder/suicide attempt, she was brought in to court to face the charges of two counts of child abuse resulting in death, two counts of murder, arson and destruction of evidence.

The 28-year-old pled not guilty. 

The District Attorney’s office has not announced whether or not the death penalty will sought.
