Monica Lewinsky’s Vanity Fair article talks Bill Clinton affair, Beyoncé lyrics

Monica Lewinsky is finally telling all and spilling the beans – or tea, if you will – about her affair with Bill Clinton in a new Vanity Fair article excerpt released on May 6. While we won’t see the full Vanity Fair article until May 8, we can salivate over the juicy released details now: Most may presume that Lewinsky was paid off by the Clintons, she says, asking why else she would keep secret her dalliances with the “it depends on what your definition of ‘is’ is” saxophone-playing man himself and suffer in silence while the media and others branded her as a home-wrecker or with names much worse than a scarlet A letter wearing modern day Hester Prynne.

Exclusive: Monica Lewinsky Writes About Her Affair with President Clinton” is the name of the Vanity Fair piece that is getting so much traffic right now that several media outlets that are writing about the highly-anticipated work from Lewinsky are enjoying their status as popular URLs on Alexa.com’s “What’s Hot” List. It’s a point of view from a scorned and branded woman that many have been waiting to hear for years, and now that Lewinsky has turned 40, the time to tell her side is apparently apropos, and very intriguing to online readers.

Employing a writing technique first seen a few years ago, Lewinsky writes about her adulterous affair with Clinton as something she emphatically shares the blame for happening. “Let me say it again: I. Myself. Deeply. Regret. What. Happened,” she wrote, but also admitted that her powerful boss took advantage of her, stating that as a White House intern, she was made a scapegoat by the media and other entities who abused her reputation in order to protect their powerful positions – and left her fending for herself to try and find appropriate jobs in the aftermath of the melee, during a time when everyone recognized the woman at the center of the storm.

Lewinsky even claims that she turned down job offers that would’ve netted her more than $10 million because they didn’t seem like the right thing to do, and she even has words for Beyoncé, about the lyrics to the superstar’s recent sexy hit “Partition”: “Thanks, Beyoncé, but if we’re verbing, I think you meant ‘Bill Clinton’d all on my gown,’ not ‘Monica Lewinsky’d.’” Now we can all run to Google to figure out those lyrics, which Rap Genius has already corrected, much to the confusion of those commenting on the change.
