Lakewood Church in Houston, TX was the victim of theft this weekend.

The Houston Chronicle reported that $600,000 was stolen from the church, which is run by celebrated pastor Joel Osteen. The theft consisted of cash, checks and credit card information which was taken from the church’s safe.

According to Fox News, the break-in was discovered Monday morning around 8:30 a.m. by a Lakewood employee and an off-duty police officer.

"The funds were fully insured, and we are working with our insurance company to restore the stolen funds to the church," a statement from Lakewood read. “If you made a contribution during these weekend services, we would encourage you to pay close attention to your accounts over the next several days and weeks and report any suspicious activity to your financial institution or credit card company immediately.”

Lakewood is currently working with police on the issue.
