After four rounds of Pre-Qualifying and 18 holes of Monday Qualifying five players have earned their way into this week's Farmer's Insurance Open. Over 80 players hoped to play their way in at El Camino Country Club, but only the top four and ties made the PGA Tour field. Former USC standout, Matthew Giles and Paul Imondi tied for medalist honors. Both players posted a six under 66 to make the final field. Also qualifying on Monday was Cody Slover, Bio Kim and PGA Tour regular Jeff Quinney. All three players shot a five under 67 to make it into the open field.
Just missing the cut was Southern California favorite Jason Gore. Gore shot a three under 69, missing by two. Several amateurs hoped to advance into their first PGA Tour event. Long Beach State's Xander Schauffele was the closest amateur to qualifying. Schauffele shot a two under 70, missing by three shots. The Farmer's Insurance Open will take place this Thursday to Sunday at Torrey Pines Golf Course.
