Moncton is one of the four official host cities for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014, which runs Aug. 5-24.

The New Brunswick hub is ready to make its mark as an international soccer city, with the recently built Stade Moncton Stadium having already hosted a Women’s International Friendly in 2012.

The stadium is located on the campus of the University of Moncton. Like Edmonton and Montreal, Moncton will also host matches during the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015.

In the group phase, Moncton will host Group C for two match days on Aug. 6 and Aug. 9, then several of Group A and Group B games on Aug. 12. Moncton also hosts one quarterfinal match on Aug. 17 and a semi-final tilt on Aug. 20.

The 32-match FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 features 16 teams.
