Following up on their recent Cinco De Meow kitty promotion, Orange County Animal Services is offering the “Mom’s Best Friend” adoption promotion on Sunday, May 11 in celebration of Mother’s Day. For this one day, dog and cat adopters will be able to spin the “Waggin’ Wheel” to receive a reduced adoption fee – FREE, $5, $10 or $15. The promotion aims to unite the shelter’s homeless pets with loving, forever homes. It's a great chance to give an animal a new home, and save it from what could be a long, lonely and oh so final walk.

For Cinco De Meow, 38 cats and kittens found new homes, which is GREAT news, since this is kitten season. Most if not all shelters and rescues are overflowing with whiskers and purrs....

This promotion reduces dog adoption fees from the usual rate of $55 and cat adoption fees from the standard rate of $40.

Each adoption includes spay/neuter, initial vaccinations, microchip identification, deworming, heartworm test (dogs) or FLV/FIV test (cats), rabies vaccination, 5-lb. bag of Science Diet food and Adoption Welcome Kit.

Orange County Animal Services is located at 2769 Conroy Road in Orlando near the Mall at Millenia. The facility is open for adoptions weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and weekends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please call (407) 254-9150 or visit www.ocnetpets.com.
