Momentum Physical Therapy invites the community to donate goods to U.S. soldiers from San Antonio through the month of February. Momentum Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab announced that it will conduct a goods drive for troops overseas throughout the month of February. The Momentum team will collect the items to send to soldiers with ties to San Antonio who are deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan through the AnySoldier.com program. The drive will support San Antonio's own hometown heroes who are serving across the world.
Desired items for collection include toiletry items including:
- Travel size toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Body wash
- Shaving cream
- Feminine hygiene products
- Baby wipes
- Razors
Non-perishable snack including:
- Granola bars
- Protein bars
- Beef jerky
- Flavored drink mixes
- Cookies and sweet treats
- Calling cards
Entertainment items including:
- DVDs
- Books
- Hand-written letters

Momentum will also host a special open house at its Westover Hills location on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 (10555 Culebra Rd, Suite #103, San Antonio, TX, 78251) from 6-8 p.m. The open house will give members of the community the opportunity to drop off goods for the troops and meet the Momentum team. San Antonio Talons players will be onsite signing autographs, as well. “We focus so much of our attention to healing the body, but we don’t want to forget about the heart and mind,” said John Malfer, co-owner of Momentum Physical Therapy. “This drive will give us the opportunity to provide therapy to the spirits of those who serve. We are honored to be able to give back to our San Antonio soldiers for all of the sacrifices they are making for us.”
