In the wake of a story in which a mom shoots an intruder who broke into her home in the daytime, the NRA has continued its quest to prove that guns are valuable in American society by tweeting the story to their followers.
In Loganville, a stay at home mom became startled when she heard a noise near her front door. When she realized it was a person trying to jimmy open the lock, she called her husband at work.
He told her to grab their two children and hide.
And that’s exactly what she did. But it didn’t stop a burglar from breaking into the home. Taking her children into a crawlspace in the home office, the woman felt safe until the man approached the room.
That’s when the 37-year-old mom pulled out her .38 revolver. It was at that point when the mom shot the intruder 6 times, hitting him five times. The man collapsed to the ground, having been hit in the neck and face.
Soon afterward, the NRA tweeted out an article to the national story, hoping to prove to skeptics that guns in the home—at elsewhere for that matter—are not always a danger.
The NRA is still reeling after their public statement following the CT school shooting, in which many felt it was too soon to promote the benefits of having more guns in America.
