On Dec. 31, the Casa Grande, Ariz. mom arrested on Christmas and suspected of killing her 13-year-old daughter, poisoning her three younger children in an attempt to kill them - and stabbing her ex-husband several times - confessed to Casa Grande police that she was indeed responsible for those atrocities.
According to USA Today:
Authorities suspect a Casa Grande mother, fearful that her ex-husband was going to take her four children, suffocated her 13-year-old daughter with her bare hands.
Connie Villa, 35, also tried to kill her three youngest children, ages 3, 5, and 8, by forcing them to take prescription narcotic drugs on Christmas Day, she told police detectives in a interview according to the Casa Grande Police Department on Tuesday.
The bad mom successfully managed to get her three younger kids, ages 3, 5 and 8, to swallow some prescription drugs in an effort to murder them on Christmas Day, 2013.
But when she tried to get her 13-year-old daughter, Aniarael Macias, to take the drugs – the eldest daughter refused. That’s when Villa “suffocated her daughter to death with her bare hands in their bathroom.”
Villa then lured ex-husband, Adam Villa, to her Casa Grande apartment where she stabbed him several times with a knife. The husband managed to escape and dialed 911 as he was driving himself to the hospital.

After police arrived at Villa’s apartment, they contained the mother who was holding a knife to her chest and suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds.
Police took the three surviving children to the hospital, where initial tests found trace amounts of opiates in their system. Ultimately, the three younger children survived the murder attempt; and are all currently doing well in the care of their father’s family.
Police say that the motive for the Christmas Day massacre is that Villa was afraid her ex-husband was going to receive custody of the four children.
Connie Villa is looking at charges of first-degree murder for the 13-year-old daughter she suffocated, and attempted first-degree murder regarding the stabbing of Adam Villa and the poisoning of her other three children.
