Molly Sims and Wendy’s #NewSaladCollection: Blending food and fashion perfectly

This past Wednesday, Wendy’s in partnership with Molly Sims, hosted a media event at Wendy’s Midtown Manhattan location to showcase the brand’s newest salad collection, Asian Cashew Chicken and BBQ Ranch Chicken. Guests were able to try both salads as well as an assortment of healthy mocktails. The salads are delicious with premium ingredients such as spicy cashews, edamame, and grilled chicken. Molly showed off style boards that she created, all inspired by the new salad collection, and promoted the #NewSaladCollection campaign – a partnership with Polyvore– which gives consumers the opportunity to create online style boards inspired by Wendy’s new premium salads.

According to Beth Thibault, Culinary and Product Innovation Senior Manager for Wendy’s, Molly is the perfect spokesperson for Wendy’s new premium salads, as she is a style icon, always on the go, and looking for something healthy to have with her. During a Q&A at the event, Molly shared some style tips with guests. Her hot trends for the Spring include “beiges, nudes, the cross body satchel, bohemian looks, a lot of color, color blocking, the frayed look, and the white oversized boyfriend blazer.” Trends that work for her both in NY and LA year-round include “a long boho dress, a hippie skirt, and white eyelet” pieces. She also expressed that “mixing high and low is important.” In other words, she suggests splurging on that one classic item that you know you’ll use all the time, but for things you’ll use less or that might be easier to find, go for the less expensive versions.

Consumers can visit to take a look at Molly’s style boards and then create their own boards, by selecting from Wendy’s salad images and fashions inspired by the salads. Molly will be judging this contest and the entrants with the best style boards will win $1,000 to stock up on their #NewSaladCollection styles. There are four opportunities to enter the contest:

• Now – March 24
• April 14 – April 20
• June 16 – June 22
• Early July
