“A Taste of the Two Rivers” will be serving up a night of delicious food, decadent desserts and wine and spirits on March 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank to benefit The Community YMCA.
The event will feature cuisine and beverages from a wide variety of restaurants and purveyors in the Two River area, including: Anna’s Italian Kitchen, The Cheese Cave, d’jeet?, McLoone’s Rum Runner, the Molly Pitcher Inn, Ocean Place Resort & Spa, Oyster Point Hotel, Ragin’Cajun, Salt Creek Grille, Short Point Distributors and Sickles Market. Participating restaurants and purveyors will be vying for the “Best Display” and “Best Dish,” as selected by votes from the evening’s guests.
The event will also include live jazz music from the Andy McDonough Trio and guests will have a chance to win cuisine-related gifts donated by local restaurants and businesses in the “Surprise Wooden Spoon Sale.”
Serving on the event Steering Committee are: Co-Chairs, Steve Bidgood, a member of the Y Board of Directors and regional operating partner of the Salt Creek Grille, and Bob Sickles, owner of Sickles Market.
The Two River Technology Group of Shrewsbury is the lead sponsor of the 4th annual food extravaganza that will benefit the Y’s Strong Kids Campaign to support local children and families in need of Y programs and services. In the past three years, the Tasting has raised nearly $75,000 that went back into the greater Red Bank community to support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
