Molly Maid needs you to help fight DV

As October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the local Molly Maid® franchise owners are promoting the annual “Making a Difference Drive,” which is the largest fundraising event of the year for this worthwhile cause.

Throughout the year, Molly Maid donates a portion of the service fees from each home that it cleans to the Ms. Molly Foundation, a non-profit charity which provides assistance to domestic violence shelters and organizations across the country. But during the month of October, the local cleaning business increases its efforts to raise awareness to the perils of domestic violence in the Nashville/Franklin area.

Facts:

  • One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime.
  • The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) reports domestic crime offenses made up 51.4% of all crimes.
  • Most cases of domestic violence are never reported to the police.
  • 85% of domestic violence victims are women.

Davidson, Williamson and Maury Counties), is sending out letters this month to encourage clients and business partners to make monetary, clothing or non-perishable food item donations to benefit Bridges Domestic Violence Shelter in Williamson County.

The Farrar’s opened their local business in 1993 and is part of a national franchise of more than 450 locations in the United States. They have been recognized as a highly reputable business and implements mostly environmentally (green) cleaning products contributing to an earth-friendly atmosphere.
