Modify Watch Review

While hundreds if not thousands of watches on the market will boast all sorts of different features, or highlight how much gold or diamonds they have on them, it’s kind of refreshing when a watchmaker keeps it as simple as possible.

Modify Watches, which is a company that began in 2010, makes it a point to tell you that their watches are all about one thing – interchangeability.

That’s right; their time pieces disregard any fancy offerings or expensive attributes that would otherwise make for a complex watch.  Simply put, Modify wants you to look cool and have choices when you need a casual watch to have throughout the day.

The company sells its watches via their official website (https://www.modifywatches.com) and lets consumers pick one of two sizes: ‘Mini’ for skinny wrists and ‘Classic’ for the bulkier folks.  After choosing a size, you’ll then be prompted to select one of a handful of faces, which begin at $25 and go up to $35 apiece, depending on the style.  Then it’s down to choosing a colored strap, which ranges from $15 to $20 each.  What’s cool is the ability to pick perhaps one or two faces and then a couple of straps, so that you can always mix and match depending on your mood or style for the day.

Having checked out the ‘Classic’ watch, I found it quite easy to attach the strap to the face, simply stuffing the face inside the strap until it essentially locked in.  The straps themselves are made of UV-coated silicone, while the faces are made of stainless steel and scratch-resistant PC.  For those looking to take their watches out to the beach or in the pool, every Modify watch is water resistant as well, so there’s no need to take it off.  After wearing the watch for about a week, I can say that it was quite comfortable to wear and easy to swap between straps.

With quite a few options available, people can create a ton of styles and at a pretty cheap price, whether it’s for you or as a gift.  Many watchmakers take themselves too seriously but that’s not the case with Modify Watches; they’re simple, cool and fashionable for the casual-minded user.

Final Score: 4/5
