It's totally okay for a bride to follow wedding traditions but today's modern bride makes up her own rules. Here are a few ways to make your wedding stand out, pop out from all of the rest, and create your very own traditions.
Have your bridesmaids pick their own dress: If you have a color scheme, allow your maids to pick a dress of their choice and budget just as long as it's the color you choose. Keep in mind that everyone's financial situation is different. What may be considered inexpensive to you could be expensive to someone else. Your bridesmaids will love you for allowing them to choose what fits their body type and wallet.
Add a pop of color: Modern brides are not wearing white gowns anymore. Choose a color that is appropriate for you and your taste. Some brides choose the adorable color light pink for their wedding like Jessica Biel did when she married Justin Timberlake. Mrs. Timberlake was showing the world that she is definitely not a traditional bride.
Skip the bridal party: It's okay if you don't have a bridal party. It saves you the headache and allows the day to just be about you.
Go for a non-traditional reception: A simple BBQ in your backyard will do just nicely. Intimate settings are better and allows you to spend time with your friends and family in a more comfortable setting. Many brides opt for this option because it is budget friendly and casual.
