Modern Sky Festival Lands In NYC

Tickets have officially gone on sale for the first annual Modern Sky Festival in New York, as it makes it's way to the United States for the first time.

The Modern Sky Festival is China's biggest music festival after only seven years in existence. Now, it's looking to make the same sort of impact in America. Modern Sky NYC features an eclectic group of bands performing over two days on October 4th and 5th in Central Park's Rumsey Playfield.

Confirmed performers for Modern Sky NYC include Atomic Bomb! The Music of William Onyeabor (scheduled to be an all-star musician set - will be announced soon), Cat Power, The Both (Aimee Mann + Ted Leo), a reunion of the original line-up of The Blood Brothers, Stars, Liars, as well as an assortment of Chinese bands yet to be heard in this part of the world.
