The “Modern Family” fans are excited that the big day for Mitch and Cam on the popular ABC show is getting closer. Only a week before the “Modern Family” season finale and the fans are rallying around the special ceremony that will end the show on a very emotionally high note. However, before that happens wedding planner extraordinaire Pepper Saltzman (played by guest star Nathan Lane) has plenty of work to do. According to USA Today on Wednesday, the planning gets started before the big day where fans get to see the “Modern Family" wedding. It's basically two part season finale with the episode called "The Wedding, Part 1"airing on Wednesday night.

"Modern Family" fans are glad to see Cameron and Mitchell’s big day is finally here and nothing can ruin it. Well, as everyone who has had a wedding knows, that things do come up and someone needs to take care of the details. Putting wedding planner extraordinaire Pepper Saltzman (played by guest star Nathan Lane) to the test. Apparently this wedding planner can get the job done, but he might have some difficulties to make the occasion perfect.

Meanwhile, Jay and Gloria host the Tuckers which seems to be a handful and Phil squeezes in an eye procedure before the festivities. Claire embraces her role as “best woman,” and fans know that might mean some lighthearted trouble. There are still tensions from last week’s fight, but emotions have cooled. It’s time for the family's wedding plans to proceed and as fans of “Modern Family” know that is anything but in typical fashion.

One of the most generous gifts of any sitcom has to be the gift that “Modern Family” gave people getting married on Monday. According to Time Magazine on Monday, the show covered the costs of all marriage licenses for the one day in New York City. It was in honor of the ficitious wedding between Mitch and Cam and a really nice thing to do.

“Modern Family” airs Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
